I have plenty of angustidens teeth in stock. At this time, I do not have enough time for providing images of all of these teeth that I have. If the specimen shown below is sold, tell me the item number and I will find you a similare specimen. All specimens are returnable for a full refund, and this rarely happens (less than 1% of sales are returned).
The story of the Carcharocles angustiden.
The Carcharocles angustidens, ( Carcharodon angustidens or angustiden ), lived during the Oligocene through Middle Miocene Epochs. At the end of the Middle Miocene Epoch, the shark is refered to as Carcharocles megalodon, ( Carcharodon megalodon or megalodon ). This was about 10 million years ago. The species is generally viewed as coming into existence about 37 million years ago. Before this, the species had a the name Carcharocles auriculatus. Before you read on, you should know that this text is primarily for the search engines.
The Carcharocles angustidens, ( Carcharodon angustidens or angustiden ), came from a lineage of sharks that I refer to as the Giant White Sharks or Mega-toothed sharks.
The Carcharocles angustidens, ( Carcharodon angustidens or angustiden ), grew to approximately the size of a large bus or 40'. Earlier estimation of the Carcharocles angustidens, ( Carcharodon angustidens or angustiden ), being up to 70' were likely in error since the shark length was estimated by the shark jaw size, and early researchers overestimated the number of teeth in the Carcharocles angustidens, ( Carcharodon angustidens or angustiden ), jaw.
The Carcharocles angustidens, ( Carcharodon angustidens or angustiden ), was a large predatory shark that fed on mammals and large fish. Bones showing damage created by the Carcharocles angustidens, ( Carcharodon angustidens or angustiden ), are evident in the fossil record. It was evident that this shark fed on very large animals including whales. More to come about the Carcharocles angustidens, ( Carcharodon angustidens or angustiden ) to come.
